Dr. Safia Nawaz, M.D. is a skilled allergist/immunologist at Chacko Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center. Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Nawaz is excited to bring her healthcare expertise to the great state of Georgia.
Dr. Nawaz attended Hendrix College, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences before completing a pediatric residency at Central Iowa Health Systems/Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She later completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Emory University in Atlanta.
Dr. Nawaz went on to serve as the Associate Director of the Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Eventually, her love of international travel and great food brought her back to Atlanta, where she is eager to serve the community.
Dr. Nawaz has professional interests in eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis and food allergies. Her compassionate, patient-focused and detail-oriented approach has helped improve the quality of life for many patients.
