Delaeni’s Story

It only took Delaeni touching peanut butter then her eye for them to discover her severe allergy to peanuts. Her whole face swelled up and her eyes swelled shut. This was at 10 months old. It took them by complete surprise as they have no family history of allergies. Now Delaeni is 10 years old and she has made the choice to do OIT. They moved here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago and were optimistic when her mom found out about Chacko Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center and OIT online. Her mom did all the research but waited until Delaeni was ready and could understand why OIT and how it works. Delaeni says that one thing she is most excited about is going to the ice cream parlor without being nervous and worrying about cross-contamination.
